The Happy Knot
Ever heard of feeling a knot in your throat… that moment when you feel if you don’t control yourself, you would cry.
These days I’m feeling something similar, yet a lot more profound.
I find myself getting a happy knot… if I would allow myself to cry, they will be… well not exactly happy tears, but tears of connection euphoria.
Now what on earth in this connection euphoria?
I must be tooooo emotional. And I’m not saying this with an iota of resentment. I love being myself. These emotions make me strong, creative, and blissfully human.
I am reading a book: How to talk so kids would listen and listen so kids would talk. It’s full of these beautiful stories of parents finding that moment of deep connection with kids. This connection is of course built on love, but its healing powers are superior to love.
I never thought I would find myself saying this: something more powerful, more impactful, superior than love itself.
This is what I want to do. I want to help parents find and re-find and get to keep their connection with their kids. Teachers build that connection and trust with students. Coaches to count on this connection more than their yelling skills to have their students excel.
It would be so meaningful, humbling and… euphoric.
I would have to do something for my knot though. Maybe I’ll learn to have it radiate the euphoria throughout and channel it so it gets spread and soaked by my crazy mind.
